EHS ComplianceThe Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) on July 11, 2025, issued a circular regarding the easing of compliance for Consent Certificates.

The following has been stated: - 

•The Goa State Pollution Control Board has introduced self-certification for industries with capital investment up to ₹50 lakh for obtaining Consent to Establish (CTE) and Consent to Operate (CTO) certificates. 

•Third-party inspections will apply to projects with an investment above ₹50 lakh. Auto-renewal of both CTE and CTO is allowed for all investment levels, based on self-certification or third-party reports as applicable. 

•No fee is required for auto-renewal of CTE, while CTO auto-renewal requires applicable fees. Provisions are not applicable where court or tribunal cases are pending.
